Baby&MeCT is an early childhood home visiting program serving the Greater New Haven region. Funded by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC), the program partners with families from pregnancy through age five, focusing on parents under 20 and birthing people from historically marginalized communities—including Black, Puerto Rican, and Indigenous families—to promote positive birth and early childhood experiences. Baby&MeCT uses the evidence-based Parents as Teachers (PAT) curriculum to support parent–child interaction, child development, and family well-being.

Job Summary:
The Family Support Provider delivers all components of the Parents as Teachers Home Visiting Model to parents or caregivers and their children (prenatal to age 5). In this role, you will:
- Plan and provide 10–12 home visits per week, supporting families from pregnancy through age five.
- Facilitate parent–child interaction and support early childhood development by collaborating with caregivers on topics such as developmental milestones, attachment/bonding, and family well-being.
- Connect families with community resources and provide ongoing support to strengthen family resilience.
- Complete all required agency and programmatic documentation within 2 business days of each visit to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping.
- Participate in regularly scheduled reflective supervision and group supervision sessions to review cases, reflect on practice, and discuss program compliance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance skills in early childhood development, family engagement, and the Parents as Teachers model.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of or interest in early childhood development, parent-child attachment, and family systems.
- Commitment to partnering with families of diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with parents/caregivers.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills including active and empathetic listening.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Understanding of and commitment to Family Centered Services of CT's goals and mission.
- Interest in supporting families within their homes and communities.
- Reliable transportation (car in good working order) and a valid CT driver's license.
Preferred Experience and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, psychology, or a related field OR at least three years of relevant work experience.
Hours: 35hrs a week.
