Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their accounting skills in a supportive environment. The Junior Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and contributing to the overall financial aspects of the organization.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close processes.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Rent Manager, Procore for data entry and financial reporting.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support corporate finance initiatives.
  • Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; relevant experience may be considered. 3 years of Junior Accounting/Finance experience is required.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles such as GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, and accrual accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Rent Manager and Procore are a must.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and vendors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56, $65,000.00 per year
