Title:Senior Process Engineer (LNG, Team Lead)KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.KBR is looking for a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer with a strong background in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and large-scale capital project execution. This role is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of process engineers, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of process engineering scope across multi-billion-dollar LNG projects. The Senior Process Engineer serves as a key technical leader, supporting project development from early concept through detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning.Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Leadership & Team ManagementLead and manage a group of process engineers, providing technical direction, mentoring, and performance feedback.Coordinate workload distribution, resource planning, and staff development within the process engineering team.Foster collaboration across engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and optimized project solutions.Technical ExpertiseServe as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in LNG liquefaction, regasification, storage, and associated utility systems.Oversee process simulations, heat & material balances, equipment sizing, and PFD/P&ID development.Review and approve key engineering deliverables, including process design packages, specifications, and datasheets.Provide guidance on process safety, operability, and reliability in design.Project ExecutionSupport project development through all phases, including feasibility studies, FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC execution.Interface with clients, licensors, and vendors to align on technical requirements and ensure compliance with project objectives.Lead technical risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL studies, and other process safety reviews.Ensure deliverables meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements for large capital projects.Business & Strategic ImpactContribute to technology evaluations, value engineering, and optimization studies for LNG processes.Support business development efforts by providing technical input on proposals, estimates, and client presentations.Champion innovation and continuous improvement in process engineering practices.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.10+ years of process engineering experience, with at least 5 years in LNG design and operations.Proven experience leading engineering teams on large-scale (> $500MM) capital projects, preferably LNG liquefaction or regasification.Strong knowledge of process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).Demonstrated expertise in process safety and regulatory compliance.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability KBR Benefits​KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
