We are looking for an enthusiastic Automated Process Support Engineer to become an integral part of our cutting-edge Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) team. In this role, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience while providing technical support for automated process equipment, ensuring it operates at peak performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Newark Automation and Process Control (A&PC) team to support our manufacturing plant operations.
- Provide day-to-day technical support for automated process equipment, solving challenges related to robotics, vision systems, barcoding, and scanning equipment.
- Play a vital role in executing capital projects, participating in design reviews, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
- Contribute to Machine Risk Assessments (MRAs) and ensure compliance with DuPont S1M machine safety standards.
- Collaborate with top-tier external vendors to support equipment upgrades, repairs, and qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, with coursework in robotics, machine vision, and automated inspection required. Master's degree is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in a discrete manufacturing environment, with a focus on automated and robotic equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with robotics platforms such as KUKA, ABB, or Epson, along with integration experience with vision systems.
- Programming experience with vision systems like LabVIEW, Cognex, or Keyence is a plus.
- Awareness of Machine Risk Assessments and Performance Level calculations.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, with SolidWorks as a preferred tool.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of SQL databases is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical fabrication.
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong interpersonal approach.
