Operations Adult Day Support Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Adult Day Support Director that can lead our team in providing exceptional care and support within our communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and scheduling meaningful events and learning experiences for individuals with developmental disabilities. The candidate needs to have a passion for enhancing the lives of individuals that attend Consumer Support Services' Adult Day Support programs. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage budgets, develop care plans, and ensure compliance with resident rights while fostering a positive environment for both staff and residents. This position requires travel throughout the state of Ohio to our numerous ADS locations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the daily operations of Adult Day Support Programs throughout Ohio to ensure the highest level of care for individuals
• Ensures the participants' rights are observed by all program staff
• Follow up on referrals Adult Day Support Directors receive to ensure that eligibility requirements are met and placement is appropriate.
• Works in cooperation with the individual's families, advocates, residential providers and other involved professionals to identify and explore both short term and long-range personal goals for program participants
• Assists Adult Day Support Directors with developing lesson plans and schedules and ensuring staff receive training for assigned adults in the areas of personal care, toileting, mobility, eating, social skills, cognitive skills, community awareness and access, communication skills and home living skills.
• Attend and monitor scheduled meetings to discuss and develop Individual Plans, conducts appropriate evaluations, writes/modifies Individual Plan, gathers information from appropriate support services, chairs all meetings.
• Oversees implementation of Individual Plan by ADS staff; develops data books; ensures completion of correct entries into data books
• Ensures active treatment strategies are incorporated into each participant's daily schedule based on their individual needs.
• Oversees implementation of behavior Strategy/Intervention Plan in conjunction with Behavior Specialist. Provides ongoing staff instruction regarding plan implementation as necessary.
• Assists Adult Day Support Directors with scheduling staff to assigned groups based on the needs of the participants and adhering to budgetary restraints.
• Completes audits to ensure completion of the participants' Individual Plan objectives, reviews data on at least a monthly basis to assure accuracy and monitor participants' progress. Ensures timely completion of paperwork that is required to meet all local, state and federal guidelines.
• Completes various reports as requested; maintains participant's records and confidentiality.
• Orders supplies and equipment; keeps training area clean and clear of safety hazards.
• Assists in the hiring process as assigned.
• Assist in New Employee Training as assigned.
• Assist in conducting/documenting employee counseling sessions and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists in performance evaluations of day habilitation staff.
• Adhere to safety standards set forth per regulatory agencies and CSS.
• Report all MUI's to appropriate CSS personnel and county officials and assist in the investigation process.
• Assure distribution of medications in absence of nursing.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by CSS.
