About the Role

This Business Operations & Strategy role is a high-impact position working directly with the VP of Finance but also on strategic initiatives with the CEO, CMO, & CCO. You'll play a key role in data strategy, advertising optimization, pricing, forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc analytics, while introducing cutting-edge technology & AI capabilities to build scalable systems and automate insights.

You'll work cross-functionally across the company:

  • With Finance & Accounting: Elevate internal reporting and financial strategy

  • With GTM (Go-to-Market): Drive sustainable, scalable growth

  • With Product: Help validate and influence roadmap investments using deep data insights

Your work will help shape the future of our company and generate long-term value for our customers and investors.

What you'll do

Strategic BizOps Projects:
Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team on various projects such as advertising optimization, bidder segmentation analyses, pricing improvements, GTM strategy, potential M&A targets, among other key initiatives.

Big Data Analytics:
Use AI and modern data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, BI platforms) to build HiBid's scalable data analytics engine. Analyze operational datasets across marketing, sales, product and support to deliver actionable insights. Be the bridge that connects these operational metrics to our financials & forecasts.

Financial Reporting:
Maintain and enhance our reporting packages for capital partners and stakeholders.

What you'll bring

  • Background in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or business operations at a high-growth tech company
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills in an amorphous environment
  • Broad-based knowledge working across the full org (sales, marketing, product, finance, operations)
  • Confidence working with large operational datasets (millions of records)
  • Ability to connect analytical insights to broader business strategy
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and Power BI (or equivalent tools)
  • Strong experience with AI tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and building AI agents
  • Sector experience in technology, preferably SaaS or marketplace environments
  • Understanding of key software metrics: ARR, NDR, churn, CLTV, CAC, payback period, attach rates, etc.
