IMPLUS continues to evolve its organization to better support and grow changing consumer behaviors. As we become more consumer and digitally centric, we are creating a new role in the organization. The Director, Amazon North America is responsible for the performance of the Amazon business in Mexico, US and Canada.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Amazon North America ECommerce role will report to the Chief Global Category and Brand Development Officer and will lead the strategic direction and growth management of all Implus' global Ecommerce business. Responsible for driving sales, marketing and product at the platform level while implementing initiatives for key brands and products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for defining the Americas Amazon Ecommerce Strategy, building a high performance organization focused on outcomes on a path to execute the strategy.
  • Actively direct and manage cross-functional projects, assess risks, manage contingencies and deliver global revenue, gross margin and EBITDA results all digital channels.
  • Lead execution of deliverables with all global departments within Implus as they pertain to the three Amazon geographies (Mexico, Canada, US)
  • Actively communicate Amazon Americas results to the broader organization and Implus leadership
  • Partner with category/brand teams to prioritize activities, identify needs coordinating with brands global agenda.
  • Align with Creative function, in partnership improving conversion throughs more and stronger A+ content on PDP Pages, Brand Pages, Custom Landing Pages and paid media activities for all levels of the funnel.
  • Guide organization through thoughtful internal capabilities. Develop team capabilities to deliver the results while working closely with relevant internal departments as support to enable growth.
  • Develop efficient global function team structure supporting the strategy. Leading and developing existing team members to deliver targeted results. Identifying talent gaps and/or development opportunities to create a high functioning, outcomes driven global team.
  • Responsible for Amazon Americas ECommerce budget; plan, manage and deliver budget goals (Revenue & Contribution Margin)
    Maximize existing working spend in partnership with agency partner globally to profitably grow. Making the tough choices with available OpEx. Identify target spend levels by brand as a target for the organization to help support.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 8 + years in Global Ecommerce management and leadership
  • Demonstrate success in B2C ecommerce sales and or marketplace management in consumer packaged goods
  • Digital marketing or digital strategic experience
  • Existing sporting goods and/or outdoor industry knowledge

Education and Certifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Digital Marketing, Marketing or a related field of study
