Vice President/GM - Custom-Engineered Cooling Towers and ACCs - Houston

We are seeking a dynamic, strategically minded Vice President / General Manager to lead the growth of our U.S. business focused on
custom-engineered cooling towers and air-cooled condensers (ACCs)
. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to build and scale a U.S. commercial and operational footprint for a global leader in thermal management solutions.

As VP/GM, you will own the U.S. market strategy, drive sales across key heavy industrial sectors, and build a high-performing team that enables sustainable growth. This role combines entrepreneurial autonomy with the resources of an established international organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive U.S. go-to-market plan for custom-engineered cooling towers and ACCs.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure major project opportunities within refineries, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, mining operations, and other heavy industrial markets.
  • Establish strong relationships with EPCs, owner-operators, OEMs, and key decision makers across target industries.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a national sales organization, including regional sales managers, technical sales engineers, and channel partners.
  • Oversee customer engagement from lead generation through contract negotiation, technical review, and project award.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring solution alignment with technical, operational, and commercial requirements.
  • Establish U.S.-based operational capabilities, including support, service, project management, and aftermarket functions.
  • Deliver full P&L responsibility for the U.S. business, including budgeting, performance metrics, and long-term planning.
  • Work cross-functionally with global engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate leadership to ensure delivery excellence.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineered equipment sales to heavy industrial markets.
  • Proven success selling large capital equipment into refineries, petrochem, power generation, or similar sectors.
  • Deep understanding of thermal systems, cooling towers, heat exchangers, or related engineered solutions (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale sales and operational teams within the U.S. market.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in complex project sales, EPC relationships, and contract negotiations.
