Vice President of Corporate Development

Overview:

Our client is building the largest LTL cold chain network in the U.S. through acquisitions. We are seeking a Vice President of Corporate Development to lead deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution. This role is central to our growth and offers significant equity and success-based upside.

Compensation Note:

We are a pre-revenue platform. Cash salary will be deferred until the first acquisition closes and the company has operating cash flow. In the interim, compensation is structured as equity participation and success-based incentives. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial dealmaker seeking ownership and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and prioritize trucking and cold chain acquisition targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with bankers, brokers, and sellers.
  • Develop financial models and valuation analyses (EBITDA bridges, synergy cases).
  • Manage due diligence and deal execution (LOIs, data rooms, negotiations).
  • Partner with Operations to build integration playbooks post-close.

Qualifications:

  • 7–12 years in M&A, corporate development, or investment banking.
  • Track record of closed transactions (5+ deals ideal).
  • Logistics, industrial, or transportation sector experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial setting.

Compensation:

  • Base (Deferred until close): $150K–$200K
  • Bonus: Deal-based success incentives
  • Equity: Participation in SPVs and/or HoldCo
