The Role

As our Director of AI Technologies, you will own the technical execution of FT's AI roadmap and ensure business, technical, and user priorities align. You'll act as the strategic quarterback, translating business needs into actionable AI/ML development goals. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, deep AI technical acumen, project management skills, and hands-on leadership of a small team to drive the technical delivery of our AI initiatives.

You will play a pivotal role in defining and managing the AI roadmap across our Identify, Market, and Measure pillars, setting measurable success criteria, and coordinating efforts across technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll ensure our AI solutions are innovative, production-ready, and compliant with NIST and SOC-2 frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Roadmap Execution: Lead and manage the technical delivery of FT's AI roadmap, ensuring full alignment with business objectives.
• Requirements Translation: Translate business requirements into AI technical roadmaps, models and agent capabilities for AI/ML development.
• Success Criteria: Set and track measurable success criteria (e.g., accuracy, ROI, latency targets) for AI initiatives.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate across technical and non-technical teams to ensure seamless delivery and adoption of AI solutions.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with NIST and SOC-2 frameworks, maintaining high standards for data security and privacy.
• Hands-On Leadership: Lead by example, balancing innovation with production readiness and driving projects from concept to deployment.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Project Manager leading AI/ML product or AI technical initiatives.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of LLMs (Large Language Models), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Machine Learning and agentic AI frameworks.
• Operational Delivery: Proven ability to balance cutting-edge AI innovation with production readiness and operational reliability.
• Data-Driven: Excellent data-driven decision-making and communication skills.
• Compliance Experience: Experience ensuring AI/ML solutions meet NIST and SOC-2 compliance standards.
• Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications in AI/ML or project management are a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent Team leadership, project management, and strategic planning abilities. Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment.
• AWS AI technical delivery experience is a plus.
