Power Electronics is in the process of building a manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. We are currently searching for a Logistics Engineer who will help us design and define logistic processes, elaborate procedures, and implement actions.

Job Summary

The internal Logisitcs Manager will oversee and manage the task organization, team supervision, and process optimization to meet logistics goals. Skilled in safety compliance, visual management, and continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy in the operations of logistics facilities and distribution centers in the North American region, reporting directly to the Corporate Logistics Director and the US Plant Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate tasks related to the logistics environment, assigning these tasks to the different members of the team.
  • Supervise the degree of tasks fulfillment, making progress visible and taking the appropriate decisions for the correct development of the work.
  • Follow up and ensure compliance with safety issues, detect unsafe behaviors and propose alternatives to logistics-related processes.
  • Coordinate the different actions related to the logistics area in order to comply with the production plan, following up the indicators.
  • Ensure that logistics team has the information and process training required for the correct development of the activity in the area.
  • Ensure compliance with audits and the polyvalence matrix.
  • Identify inefficiencies, detect the causes and propose improvement opportunities to optimize management and logistics processes.
  • Ensure and control the correct recording of information in the system, ensuring that the data related to stock levels are correct.
  • Ensure that team members perform their work in accordance with the procedures and standards determined by the quality strategy.
  • Promote strategies linked to visual management and the application of the 5's in its area of influence.
  • Carry out all those tasks entrusted by your immediate manager both associated with your area and linked to other departments to ensure the correct development of the work. Comply with the matrix of roles and responsibilities for safety and health in the workplace.
  • Management of the control and review of attendance and/or absences of the teams in their area of responsibility.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related vocational training is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics operations, including at least 1 year in team supervision.
  • Preferred experience in industrial or distribution environments, especially with electronic or technical components.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management, and logistics security.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP is essential; experience in business environments is highly valued.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, is required.
