Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairstyling and beauty services, with the ability to deliver exceptional client experiences. This role involves providing a range of hair services, including cutting, coloring, extensions, and styling, while maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism. A strong background in cosmetology or barbering, along with excellent communication skills, is essential to succeed in this dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Perform various hair services such as cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions tailored to client preferences.
  • Apply advanced techniques including eyelash extensions, hair threading, and makeup application to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
  • Offer retail sales of hair care products, nail care items, and other beauty products through effective upselling strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols.
  • Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries professionally.
  • Mentor junior staff or apprentices to promote skill development within the team.
  • Stay updated on current trends in hair styling, color theory, and beauty techniques to provide innovative services.
  • Assist with store management tasks as needed to ensure smooth salon operations.

Qualifications

  • Valid cosmetology or barbering license required.
  • Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in salon software such as MINDBODY is a plus.
  • Knowledge of color theory, sanitation practices, and retail math is essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to perform a variety of hair services including straight razor cuts and hair threading.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Experience in store management or front desk operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
