As a Talent Acquisition / HR Generalist, you will play a key role in driving the company's people strategy. This hybrid role combines full-cycle recruiting with general HR responsibilities—ideal for someone who thrives in both talent strategy and day-to-day HR operations. You will partner with department leaders to identify hiring needs, attract top talent, and ensure a positive employee experience throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across multiple departments, from job posting to onboarding.
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles.
  • Conduct interviews, evaluate applicants, and make hiring recommendations.
  • Maintain and optimize the company's applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Promote Merchant Industry's employer brand through online channels and career events.

Human Resources

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related matters.
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Administer benefits enrollment, PTO tracking, and performance review processes.
  • Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Assist in policy development, documentation, and implementation of HR best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in HR and talent acquisition roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience using HRIS/ATS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Paychex, or similar).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
