Sales Assistant – WAND-TV (Decatur, Illinois)

WAND-TV, Central Illinois' most trusted source for local news and advertising solutions, is looking for a Sales Assistant to join our energetic Sales team. This position supports our Account Executives and Sales Managers with day-to-day tasks that help our station and clients succeed.

What You'll Do
  • Assist Sales Managers and Account Executives with administrative and clerical support
  • Pull and distribute weekly sales reports for clients
  • Enter sales contracts and make-goods in WideOrbit
  • Help coordinate and prepare for sales meetings and company events
  • Maintain office supplies, printers, copiers, and other department equipment
  • Manage calendars and organize department files and folders in SharePoint
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and assist with newsletters and award programs
  • Support National Sales with order input and maintenance
  • Track and report social media growth for the Sales team
  • Film and edit short-form video content for TikTok and other platforms
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma required; additional education or training preferred
  • Previous administrative or sales support experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude

Expected pay range for this position is $15.00-$17.00 hourly based on experience.
