Readyline HD also provides a mobile PM unit for the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches, no need to down a truck during business hours to bring it into a shop for PM/Inspections/basic repairs. We will send the unit to you for off-hour preventative maintenance and write up repairs to keep your fleet compliant and in service

Diesel Technician Duties (not limited to):

  • Diagnose and repair failures for vocational trucks including diesel engine/chassis and platform diagnostics (mixer, waste packing, dump, pump, etc.).
  • Perform routine maintenance (PM's) on diesel-powered equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with DOT regulations by conducting routine inspections and keeping organized records
  • Fabricate parts as needed to complete repairs or modifications.
  • Conduct tire service and replacement for heavy-duty trucks.
  • Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
  • Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on industrial equipment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) with vocation truck fleets, specifically ReadyMix trucks, Refuse/Waste, and/or Construction (dump, pump, flatbeds, etc.).
  • Proficient in using power tools and diagnostic equipment for mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to fabricate parts when necessary for repairs or modifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to transmit technical information clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license is required; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position is a day shift (Monday - Friday) position that will provide an opportunity for hours weekly; however, this position is also required to respond to occasional road calls/emergency service outside of your normal shift.
