Confidential Search – Systems Administrator

Exceptional HR Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a client for a Systems Administrator.

Position Summary

The Systems Administrator will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems that power creative and production teams. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional early in their career (1–3 years of experience) who is passionate about technology and eager to support a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Maintain and monitor servers, workstations, and network systems to ensure uptime and performance.

· Provide technical support to team members across hardware, software, and network issues.

· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across multiple systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, Active Directory).

· Assist with software deployment, patch management, and version control for production tools (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Suite).

· Perform regular data backups and verify integrity of stored information.

· Support cloud storage and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Dropbox, AWS).

· Monitor network security and assist with updates, firewalls, and antivirus management.

· Troubleshoot connectivity, rendering, and system performance issues.

· Document IT processes, system configurations, and user guides.

· Support IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, hardware rollouts, and new software integrations.

Required Skills

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced, creative environment.

· Working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

· Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and group policy management.

· Familiarity with macOS and Linux systems administration.

· Understanding of backup and recovery processes.

· Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Interest in animation, gaming, or digital media environments is a plus.

Qualifications

· Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals preferred.

· Experience: 1–3 years in systems or network administration, ideally in a production or creative studio environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $80,000.00 per year
