Who We're Looking For
An instructional coach/interventionist provides instructional support and intervention services to primary grade teachers and students. This position focuses on strengthening early literacy and numeracy instruction, supporting data-driven instructional practices, and delivering targeted interventions to students who are below grade-level proficiency. The coach/interventionist works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to improve student outcomes and ensure high-quality instruction in all K–2 classrooms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certificate (Reading Endorsement or ESOL Endorsement preferred).
- Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Deep understanding of early literacy and numeracy development.
- Strong knowledge of research-based instructional practices and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data to drive instructional decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Coaching
- Support K–2 teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional strategies aligned with state standards and school goals.
Student Intervention
- Plan and deliver targeted reading and/or math interventions for small groups or individual students identified through assessment data.
- Progress monitor students receiving interventions and adjust instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and MTSS/RTI teams to support intervention plans and student success.
- Maintain accurate intervention records and communicate progress to teachers, administrators, and families when appropriate.
Data and Assessment
- Support teachers with administering, interpreting, and utilizing assessment data (e.g., FAST, i-Ready, UFLI)
- Analyze school-wide data trends to identify instructional priorities and student learning needs.
- Work with grade-level teams to set goals and monitor progress toward academic achievement targets.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Collaborate with school leadership to implement curriculum initiatives and instructional frameworks.
- Participate in school improvement planning and support the development of instructional action plans.
- Serve as a resource for early childhood best practices, including foundational reading and math instruction, phonics, and language development.
- Foster a positive, growth-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement for both teachers and students.
- Model effective teaching practices through co-teaching, demonstration lessons, and small-group instruction.
- Provide feedback and coaching cycles to help teachers refine their instructional delivery, classroom management, and student engagement.
- Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) focused on data analysis, instructional strategies, and student growth.
- Assist teachers in planning and differentiating instruction based on student needs and assessment data.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on credentials and experience-Starting 57,900 plus $500 per year of teaching experience up to 30 years.

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 12 month position
- 8-hour shifts
- In-person instruction required

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
