Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Outreach & Intake Specialist to serve as the vital link between our organization and the communities we serve. Duties

  • Develop and implement strategic community outreach plans to raise awareness about available services and programs.
  • Manage volunteer recruitment, training, supervision, and retention to build a dedicated team of community ambassadors.
  • Conduct engaging public speaking engagements at community events, schools, and partner organizations to promote our mission.
  • Oversee client intake procedures by conducting interviews, collecting relevant data, and assessing individual needs with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Coordinate program development efforts to enhance service delivery and community engagement initiatives.
  • Utilize social media platforms and marketing strategies to increase visibility and foster community connections.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to outreach activities, client demographics, and program outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on project management tasks to ensure timely execution of outreach campaigns and programs.
  • Assist with fundraising efforts by participating in donor engagement activities and promoting organizational initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records related to volunteer management, client intake, outreach events, and program activities.
  • Provide addiction counseling or public health education as needed to support clients' well-being effectively.

Experience

  • Proven experience in volunteer management or supervising teams within community-based settings.
  • Demonstrated success in public speaking engagements or teaching roles aimed at diverse audiences.
  • Strong background in program development, project management, marketing, or social media management.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to community outreach or health programs.
  • Knowledge of addiction counseling, public health principles, or social work practices is highly desirable.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of motivating teams and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Administrative experience including recruiting volunteers or staff members and maintaining detailed records is essential.
