Japanese/English Logistics Coordinator

A freight forwarding company near the Portland Airport area is looking for a Bilingual (Japanese and English) candidate to join their team. We are seeking someone with previous experience as a logistics coordinator and familiar with international exports.

This position will be onsite, so you must be able to work in the office from Monday to Friday. It is a temp-to-hire position. The current temp contract is estimated about 3 months, and our client will directly hire you if you do not have any performance or attendance issues.

Responsibilities for Bilingual (Japanese and English) Logistics Coordinator:

  • Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring timely sourcing of materials to meet production demands.
  • Oversee dispatching processes to ensure efficient delivery of goods to customers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and terms that align with company objectives.
  • Implement process improvements in logistics operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics transactions and provide regular reports on inventory status and supply chain performance.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to support overall business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Answers any customer concerns
  • Other task that assigned by your managers.

Qualifications for Bilingual (Japanese and English) Logistics Coordinator:

  • Must be bilingual in both Japanese and English.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with materials management, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong understanding of demand planning processes and best practices in logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong mathematic skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify areas for process improvement within logistics operations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
