Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Project Controls Engineer/Specialist to join our team In this role you will get to The Entry-Level Associate Project Control Engineer/Specialist will support project managers and cross-functional teams in monitoring project performance, managing budgets, cost forecasting, invoicing, and ensuring alignment across finance, accounting, billing, and procurement to achieve project objectives.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential delays and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Support the preparation and tracking of project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Assist with cost control, cost forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Manage the subcontract accruals and invoice process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Support the invoicing process, including preparing and reviewing invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, team members, finance, accounting, billing, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related field (internships or co-op experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Exposure to construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
