Position Summary

eX² Technology is seeking a Quality Control Specialist skilled in using project tools such as ArcGIS Pro, Arc Online and other GIS Fiber Management software to manage all OSP design information. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will review designs and complete drawings in detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications, permitting ordinances, design inputs and field notes.

Location

Can be remote in select United States-only markets - AL, AZ, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VT, WA, or WI only.

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform quality control for the design of various architectures utilizing aerial and underground structures and multiple construction methods.

Review of all levels of completed design for accuracy and efficiency.

Generation of bills of materials, splice sheets and other supporting documentation for the design.

Write supporting documents, checklists, instructional documentation and Scopes of Work.

Job Requirements

Education

Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in OSP Fiber Optic or related design or quality control.

Experience in various GIS mapping software and fiber management software is required.

Associate or bachelor's Degree is preferred in related field.

Experience

Experience with AutoCAD and ESRI (or other fiber design tools).

Telecommunications fiber network experience is desired.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with experience working in a fast-paced engineering and production environment.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong sense of methodology, process and metrics.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with AutoCAD and ESRI (or other fiber design tools).

High integrity and work ethics.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The incumbent is occasionally required to walk or stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
