POSITION DESCRIPTION:Qcells New Homes is seeking a Project Specialist to coordinate and manage key project activities across various phases of new home construction. This role ensures smooth project progression by maintaining documentation and coordinating project photos and records to support timely project submissions and approvals for financier payments. The specialist collaborates closely with internal teams and installation partners, serving as a critical liaison to support project completion and overall operational efficiency.
This position will be based out of our office in Irvine, CA with the potential for remote work based on the direct manager's discretion in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and organize project photos and documentation across all construction phases.
- Submit accurate and complete project records to the financier portal in a timely manner.
- Ensure all submissions meet financier requirements and support payment approvals.
- Track and maintain records of submissions, approvals, and pending items for follow-up.
- Collaborate with internal teams and installation partners to gather required documentation.
- Identify and resolve issues that may delay submissions or approvals.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and achieve best-in-class project approval turnaround times.
- Analyze and monitor team performance to iteratively improve upon cycle times.
- Maintain and update CRM, third-party financier portals, and other business tools to ensure accurate and up-to-date project information.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, with a minimum of 5+ years professional work experience or an associate's degree with 8+ years of professional experience including 2+ years of experience in project coordination, internal operations or related administrative support within the construction or solar industry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, project management tools, and online portals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and partners.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Process-oriented, with the ability to develop long-term solutions and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Solar Industry experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction processes, documentation requirements, and financing procedures preferred.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job's minimum qualifications.
