Field Sales Representative – Technology Backend Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Representative to promote and sell our backend technology solutions within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling Point-of-Sale (PoS) or related technology products, particularly within the restaurant or hospitality industry, and be ready to apply that experience to the retail environment.

This role requires an individual who thrives in the field, understands operational pain points, and can translate technical capabilities into business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and engage retail businesses to introduce and sell backend technology solutions.
  • Conduct on-site meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.

Leverage prior PoS sales experience to understand customer workflows, integrations, and decision-making factors.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners, managers, and operational leaders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings and clearly articulate value propositions.
  • Work closely with internal technical and product teams to ensure accurate customer requirements and solution fit.
  • Prepare proposals, manage the sales pipeline, and close deals to meet or exceed monthly targets.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and local networking opportunities to generate leads.

Provide feedback from the field to contribute to product improvements and market strategy.

Required Qualifications

2–5 years of field sales experience in technology products.

Strong experience with outbound sales

Hands-on PoS sales experience, preferably selling to restaurants, cafés, or hospitality clients.

  • Strong understanding of operational systems, backend workflows, and integrations.
  • Ability to transition industry knowledge into the retail technology space.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with travel within assigned territory.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling SaaS, hardware-software bundled solutions, or retail tech.
  • Knowledge of PoS ecosystems, payment solutions, or inventory management systems.
  • Existing network or previous clients in retail or restaurant industries.
