Essential Job Functions
The Field Clinical Manager (FCM) is responsible for providing advanced clinical and technical expertise to support the safe and effective adoption of Inspire therapy. This role includes direct management of Field Clinical Representatives (FCR's), ensuring regional clinical alignment and implementation of company strategic goals. The FCM will foster a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration across the region and will oversee performance, development, and operational execution of the clinical team.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE
Clinical Leadership & Technical Expertise

  • Lead team to operate with a "teach first" mindset to support customer understanding and adoption of Inspire therapy.
  • Deliver expert technical support during Inspire implant procedures, device activations, and care pathway follow-ups to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay current on scientific publications and clinical evidence to support therapy adoption.
  • Conduct post-training follow-up including procedural reviews and in-servicing to reinforce best practices and clinical proficiency.
  • Drive successful adoption of the Inspire care pathway by educating and supporting clinical teams, ensuring consistent and effective implementation.

People Management & Team Development

  • Directly manage a team of Field Clinical Representatives, including performance reviews, goal setting, and career development.
  • Foster a collaborative, performance –based culture within the FCR team by conducting regular 1:1s, field rides, and coaching sessions to support individual growth and team effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate exceptional emotional intelligence and an ability to develop others; navigate conflict, give constructive feedback, set clear expectations, delegate effectively, and support teams through change.
  • Collaborate with the clinical training team to support onboarding, training, and competency development for new and existing team members.

Strategic Execution & Market Alignment

  • Drive regional progress towards provider certification, independence, and excellence.
  • Partner with Territory Managers and Regional Managers to increase utilization of the Sleep Sync patient management platform and train to ongoing feature enhancements.
  • Support pipeline development, referral flow, and conversion by working closely with Territory Managers and Regional managers on targeted opportunities to implement automation tools such as digital scheduling and SleepSync.
  • Contribute clinical insights to regional planning and strategy discussions.
  • Identify and share market trends, patient access barriers, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, training, and reimbursement teams to align clinical execution with business objectives. For example, implementation of Inspire flow to create OR efficiencies.
  • Partner closely with direct reports and the RM/TM team to drive positive patient and customer experiences and optimize outcomes with Inspire therapy.

Operational Oversight & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of procedures, device registrations, and PRF reporting.
  • Oversee SleepSync training and data entry requirements for the team.
  • Lead a culture of compliance by modeling adherence to quality systems and regulatory standards.
  • Support continuous process improvement and ensure timely completion of training and competency requirements.
  • Complete timely review and approval of expense reports; ensuring adherence to expense policy.

Required
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

  • Bachelors' degree and 2+ years of related clinical, healthcare or medical device industry experience (OR) Bachelors' degree and 1+ years applicable Inspire experience (OR) an Associates' degree or Professional Certification and 5+ years of related clinical/healthcare or medical device industry experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a field-based role with strong clinical experience within the medical device industry.
  • A valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation are required for this position to enable travel to hospitals, clinics, and customer sites.
  • Proven experience supporting implantable devices.
  • Demonstrated leadership through influencing collaboration and alignment of peers, providing peer mentorship, and promoting an inclusive and respectful team environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Field based with ability to travel fully within the assigned market.

Preferred

  • 1-2 years previous management experience.

The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.

Salary

$119,000—$163,725 USD
