About the Role:

Our client, a nationally recognized manufacturer and market leader, is seeking a
Senior Accounting Manager
to join its corporate headquarters in the
Madison, WI area
.

This is a hybrid role - 3 days on site. This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing consolidated corporate accounting operations and financial reporting for a global, multi-entity organization. You'll partner cross-functionally with executives, finance leadership, and external stakeholders while leading a high-performing accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all corporate accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, variance analysis, and intercompany eliminations
  • Ensure financial statements accurately reflect company performance in compliance with GAAP
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and accountability
  • Serve as primary contact for external audits and tax coordination
  • Partner with business units to streamline reporting and improve processes
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and policy leadership
  • Identify and execute process simplification initiatives across systems and reporting structures
  • Support due diligence and integration of future acquisitions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
    CPA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (public + corporate mix ideal)
  • Experience within large, complex, or multi-entity organizations; manufacturing preferred
  • Strong technical accounting and research background; SEC reporting or audit experience a plus
  • 5+ years of direct supervisory experience
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; ERP implementation or integration exposure helpful
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
