We're hiring an
AI Builder In Residence
to join our investment team for a two-year program. This is an on-the-ground, in-person, and experimental role for someone who likes to tinker, ship, and learn in public. You'll meet founders, test new tools, prototype ideas, and help us make sharper, faster investment decisions across the AI stack and beyond.

We would be thrilled if after this residency you join or start a company.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with founders and expand our network by attending meetups, demos, and builder gatherings — surfacing exceptional founders early.
  • Join pitches and support diligence with notes on product, design, market, and technical architecture.
  • Explore and stress-test emerging technologies, products, and workflows — then share clear, thoughtful write-ups and demos.
  • Build small prototypes to evaluate tools and markets, helping us develop opinions grounded in evidence.
  • Contribute to internal projects to build out True's internal AI workflows.

    2+ years of experience
    in a technical or product role.
  • You're active in tech communities and track the builder zeitgeist online.

Compensation Range: $120,000–$140,000 base + equity
