Business Development Representative

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to create new opportunities.
  • Make high daily outreach (calls + emails + LinkedIn) targeting 75+ touches/day.
  • Research accounts and contacts to identify potential needs.
  • Build trust with prospects and qualify them as sales opportunities.
  • Set meetings between prospects and Account Executives.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to support pipeline growth.
  • Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity and results to the VP of Sales.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or ZoomInfo a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • 1+ year of sales or customer-facing experience preferred (retail, recruiting, inside sales, call center, or related).
  • Willingness to learn the IT/cybersecurity industry — prior MSP/MSSP experience a plus, but not required.
  • Demonstrated success with cold calling or high-volume outreach strongly preferred.

Work Schedule/Travel:

  • Standard Meriplex business hours of Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Travel optional.

Physical Demands:

Medium Work - Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
