Job Description

We're looking for a QA Engineer with strong experience in quality assurance processes who can help modernize and scale our testing capabilities. You'll be responsible for expanding and maintaining test coverage across our products, improving structure and reliability in our QA processes, and driving test automation.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and support teams to design test strategies, build automation frameworks, and integrate testing into our CI/CD pipelines.

This role is ideal for someone who has built or scaled manual/hybrid QA processes and is actively moving into full QA automation.

Your specific responsibilities

  • Own and drive quality assurance across the product lifecycle.
  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies across services and repositories.
  • Develop, execute, and optimize end-to-end automated tests for our web applications.
  • Establish clear QA documentation, metrics, and reporting for visibility across teams.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites, focusing on scalability, speed, and reliability.
  • Integrate and manage automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and processes to improve QA effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure release confidence and fast feedback loops.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in QA for modern SaaS applications, combining manual and automated testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to evolve or scale QA practices — including automation, test coverage, and release validation — within a growing engineering organization.
  • Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).
  • Experience in scripting or programming (Python, JavaScript, or similar) to develop and maintain automated tests.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Pytest, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with integrating automated testing into CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we value experience that demonstrates a software engineering approach to quality, including automation architecture, code-level testing, and scalable test infrastructure:

  • Experience designing or extending automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Hands-on experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines with build orchestration (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
  • Working knowledge of test data management, environment setup, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience developing custom test utilities or internal QA tools in Python or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with mocking and stubbing techniques for backend and API testing (WireMock, Pact, or similar).
  • Exposure to code quality, security, and performance testing tools and practices.
  • Understanding of version control, code review, and branching strategies for test codebases.
  • Knowledge of and experience using AI tools to support development and testing.
  • Familiarity with test management platforms (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray).
  • Interest in building scalable, maintainable test frameworks and mentoring others in automation best practices.
  • Strategic and proactive – researches options, anticipates challenges, and makes informed decisions.
  • Action-oriented – ships, iterates, and learns quickly.
  • Collaborative and growth-minded – helps build culture and grows with the company.
  • Quality-focused – balances speed with maintainable, scalable solutions.
Persistent – doesn't give up when faced with complex technical challenges.

What We Offer

  • Own and evolve quality assurance for a growing, modern engineering organization.
  • Collaborate directly with the CTO and senior engineers to shape our QA automation strategy.
  • Build automation frameworks and best practices that scale with the company.
  • Modern technology stack, flexible remote culture, and a pragmatic engineering environment.
Clear growth path to QA Lead.
