The Teaching & Learning Specialist–Science is the dedicated teacher leader and disciplinary expert responsible for maximizing student engagement and scientific literacy in the ISB secondary Science program (grades This specialist provides subject-specific coaching, ensuring curriculum alignment with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and the effective use of the PLC at Work model to drive rigorous, phenomena -based, three-dimensional instruction.The core function of this role is to support collaborative Science teams in applying the NGSS Instructional Shifts to foster deep content knowledge, develop disciplinary skills, and promote meaningful student sense-making.
