About the role:

At GC AI, we're building the future of AI-powered work, starting with transforming how legal teams operate. As our Senior Executive Assistant to the CTO, you'll be the strategic right hand to our CTO & co-founder, helping him stay focused on what matters most: building world-class AI products and leading our engineering organization. This role is more than scheduling; you'll help organize priorities, streamline communication, manage special projects, and create leverage across the entire product and engineering org.

Why the role matters:

At an early-stage startup, every decision counts and the CTO's ability to move quickly and stay aligned with company priorities has an outsized impact on 's trajectory. You'll be the operational backbone that keeps our technical leadership sharp, informed, and effective.

Your work will create structure in chaos, clarity in complexity, and momentum in moments that matter most. When you do your job well, the entire engineering and product team moves faster and smarter and our mission to redefine how professionals work with AI becomes a reality.

What you'll do and impact you'll make:
  • Executive operations: Manage complex calendars, meetings, travel, and communications for the CTO with precision and discretion.

  • Prioritization & alignment: Anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and ensure the CTO's focus aligns with company goals.

  • Project coordination: Help track and follow up on engineering and product initiatives, ensuring action items are completed and deadlines met.

  • Information flow: Act as a gatekeeper between the CTO, internal teams, and external partners, keeping everyone connected, informed, and accountable.

  • Meeting leverage: Prepare agendas, capture notes, and ensure follow-ups drive forward progress on technical and strategic initiatives.

  • Operational excellence: Identify and implement systems, tools, and workflows that improve efficiency and clarity across the organization.

  • Confidential support: Handle sensitive information and high-level communications with professionalism and judgment.

Required Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or Chief of Staff–level partner supporting senior executives, in a startup or tech environment.

  • You have supported a CTO or co-founder in a startup or scaling SaaS company.

  • Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, and you stay three steps ahead, thriving on making others more effective.

  • Have extensive experience with administrative support for CTOs and co-founders, including calendar management with attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

  • Have managed complex domestic and international travel scheduling end-to-end, including logistics and itineraries.

  • Have processed expense reports promptly through tools such as Ramp, Brex, Concur, etc.

  • Strong comfort with AI automation and productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Asana, chat GPT, etc.).

  • You hold a proactive, ownership-driven mindset and alignment with our principal values.

  • You have a bias for action and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, comfortable working beyond a traditional 9-to-5 schedule when needed to drive impact.

  • Experienced with prioritizing multiple projects.

Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with engineering, product, or AI terminology or curiosity to learn it quickly.

  • Experience driving strategic projects and working with project managment tools like Linear, Asana, and Jira.
