NPG is looking for qualified Plan Review Coordinator (PRC) to support the Commercial Boiler Inspection Division for the Department of Building (DOB) who must possess, at minimum two (2) to experience as a permit coordinator. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture or related technical field is preferred. Candidate must have strong verbal and writing skills and provide excellent customer service.
This Role is full time, reporting to DC DOB Offices at 1100 4th St SW, Washington DC 20024 with the possibility for Telework.
Responsibilities
· Process applications to certify boiler welders and insurance boiler inspectors.
· Process applications to issue boiler certificate of inspections.
· Review complaints, apply analytical, investigative, and evaluative methods and techniques to resolve problems, conduct fact-finding investigations, gather information, and make recommendations.
· Collect various program information and data involving documents dealing with agency or department program(s), project activities, services, policies and procedures.
· Generates spreadsheets, charts, summary tables, and statistics used in various reports and presentations. Provides assistance tracking data or documents in reference to agency or agency program(s). Generates internal and external documents or correspondence that assists in the workflow of the program operation.
· Knowledge of administrative concepts and practices to provide programmatic and administrative support to the program staff.
· Ability to communicate with others both orally and in writing to formulate and present report conclusions, explain and interpret factual information, and ensure cohesive and cooperative efforts. Ability to exercise tact, discretion and skill in human relations in dealing with persons from all walks of life and varying socioeconomic levels.
· Knowledge of, and proficient in the use of operating a personal computer (PC), utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new technology associated with assigned work tasks.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of the application of the District of Columbia Building Codes and related standards.
- Must have the ability to resolve issues in an amicable manner and promote a team approach to problem solving.
- Must have organizational skills to work in a fast paced and multitasking environment with variable priorities as required.
License/Certification
· ICC Permit Technician / Coordinator
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: 35,000.00 – 48,000.00
Schedule: Regular 8am – 5pm
