The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the entire supply operation, including performance monitoring, and coordination with clients. The role ensures smooth daily operations, cost efficiency, and high service standards across delivery activities.

Operations Manager Responsibilities (Manpower Supply – Delivery Company)

  • Strategic Planning & Operational Control
  • Plan daily / weekly / monthly rider deployment based on expected client requirement & contracts
  • Maintain required manpower levels through continuous recruitment planning
  • Client Relationship & Coordination
  • Main contact with clients
  • Attend client performance review meetings and resolve operational issues
  • Negotiate and finalize SLA terms, pricing adjustments, and performance KPIs with clients
  • Budgeting & Cost Management
  • Monitor operational cost components: work permits, bike leasing, maintenance, fines
  • Analyze weekly / monthly performance to ensure profitability per rider
  • Approve purchasing and vendor payments related to fleet, bikes & manpower
  • Performance Management
  • Develop performance incentive structures and driver KPI improvement plans
  • Evaluate supervisors weekly and ensure each supervisor is achieving target order per rider ratios
  • Maintain dashboard for actual vs target revenue and forecast shortfalls
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure all riders have valid work permits, traffic license, insurance & medical certificates
  • Manage renewals, sponsorship transfers & termination processes
  • Process & SOP Development
  • Design operational SOPs for onboarding, bike allocation, shift planning & Zone management
  • Risk & Incident Management
  • Handle accident cases, police reports and emergency cases
  • Reduce operational fraud, rider manipulation, App misuse
  • Implement compliance audit system with periodic checks
  • Team Leadership & Training
  • Manage and lead all supervisors, fleet coordinators & support team
  • Build skill development plans for supervisors
  • Conduct periodic training with riders to maximize delivery performance
  • Reporting & Management Review
  • Submit weekly business performance reports to CEO
  • Provide cost forecasting, revenue projections & profitability insights

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in operations or logistics management, preferably in food delivery, e-commerce, or FMCG.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and delivery management software.
  • Good communication skills (English; Arabic is a plus).
  • Valid driving license (preferred).
