We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Associate Program Director to support the Program Director in overseeing the non-clinical programming for our Residential Treatment and Emergency Shelter services. A Day in the Life

This leadership position ensures a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment that aligns with evidence-based practices and quality standards. You will provide direct supervision and mentorship to key program support leaders, ensuring staffing, programming, and operations meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.

How This Position Contributes to our Mission

  • Supervise, train, and develop program leadership and support staff, including the 3rd Shift Program Manager, Staffing Coordinator, School Supervisor, and Enrichment Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Program and Clinical Directors to ensure consistent, trauma-responsive programming across residential houses.
  • Oversee staffing practices and schedules to maintain appropriate ratios per policy.
  • Oversee the onboarding for new team members.
  • Oversee participation in enrichment activities and independent living skill development programming for residents.
  • Ensure documentation and processes meet all accreditation and licensing requirements.
  • Assist with budget development, compliance reviews, and external audits.
  • Participate in hiring, progressive discipline, and staff development efforts.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of college and two years of experience in a childcare facility; OR high school diploma/equivalent with at least five years in a child-caring facility.
  • At least one year of supervisory or team management experience required.
  • Experience with behaviorally oriented or recovery-based treatment programs preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care, child development, and family systems.
  • Proficient computer and documentation skills.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Maintain Safe Crisis Management (SCM) certification and participate in crisis interventions when necessary.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Provide on-call emergency support as assigned.
