We're looking for a creative, compassionate, and organized Residential Enrichment Specialist to join our team. In this meaningful role, you'll help youth in our Residential Program grow, heal, and thrive by planning and coordinating enriching, trauma-informed activities that support their development and independence. Position: Residential Enrichment Specialist

Schedule: Full-time - Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends

A Day in the Life

As a Residential Enrichment Specialist, you'll bring fun, structure, and creativity to our residential setting. You'll design and lead activities that build life skills, support individualized treatment plans, and connect residents to the community. From coordinating events to mentoring volunteers, your role helps transform each day into an opportunity for growth and empowerment.

How This Position Contributes to our Mission

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement fun, enriching activities for youth.
  • Maintain and distribute monthly activity calendars aligned with treatment goals.
  • Organize independent living (IL) activities and assist with IL assessments for residents.
  • Partner with Program Managers and the Activities Coordinator to deliver engaging events and programs.
  • Support residents' transitions to foster care, extended IL services, or community placements.
  • Coordinate volunteer participation and ensure safety and sanitation of all activity materials.
  • Help manage and monitor the departmental activity budget.
  • Participate in special events and other projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in human service field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice) preferred; HS Diploma/GED and at least 6 months of experience working with underserved youth required
  • Valid driver's license with a clear driving record required
  • Experience with behaviorally oriented programs or recovery-based treatment plans preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED and Safe Crisis Management certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to engage youth in creative and developmentally appropriate ways.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure residents have access to meaningful enrichment opportunities and support when they need it most.
