About the Job: 

The Finance division is seeking an Executive Assistant to the CFO with a tech-forward, service-oriented, and collaborative mindset and a steadfast focus on strategic support. The individual will provide high-level support to a Vice President who leads complex, high-visibility initiatives across finance, accounting, information technology, procurement, and business intelligence.  

As an Executive Assistant at SAN, no day unfolds exactly like the last. The ideal candidate will move with purpose, keep an eye on what's ahead, and bring consistency to a role where relationships, timing, and details all matter. As a trusted partner, the incumbent will be known as someone who follows through and supports a leader who prioritizes collaboration. They will reflect the VP's open-door style, becoming a steady point of connection across teams and priorities. Supporting this executive means being part of the work that drives progress—not just for the airport, but for the broader community it serves.  

What You'll Do: 

  • Executive Support – Manages day-to-day priorities for the Vice President, including fielding requests, scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, conducting research, preparing materials, and overseeing office logistics. May also support other executives and divisional leaders as needed. 
  • Travel & Expenses – Coordinates complex domestic and international travel arrangements and handles all related documentation, reimbursements, and payment processing. 
  • Information & Workflow Management – Handles sensitive communications with discretion, manages document systems and correspondence, and proactively improves processes to enhance efficiency and organization, especially through the use of technology solutions. 
  • Meeting & Operations Coordination – Organizes meetings and events, including scheduling, logistics, and catering. Provides guidance to administrative staff and addresses a broad range of issues requiring sound judgment and analysis. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Builds strong relationships across departments and with external partners. Represents the Vice President with professionalism, anticipating needs and resolving issues independently to support organizational goals. 
  • Technology & Systems Support – Uses advanced Microsoft Office tools, digital collaboration platforms, and workflow automation tools to streamline scheduling, document management, reporting, and communication. Identifies opportunities to improve processes through technology and brings forward solutions to enhance efficiency.

The Skills We Are Looking For: 

Administrative excellence—Manages deliverables, relationships, and expectations both independently and collaboratively to drive outcomes. Interpersonal communication—Listens actively, communicates clearly across formats, and builds strong working relationships through influence and collaboration. Project coordination— Translates goals into actionable plans, ensures alignment across teams, and tracks progress to meet deadlines. Technology fluency – Leverages digital tools to support business needs, ensure accuracy, and improve workflow efficiency, including advanced Microsoft Office skills, cloud-based collaboration platforms (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), workflow automation tools, and digital meeting/scheduling systems Sound judgment – Applies discretion and problem-solving skills to handle sensitive issues and make informed decisions in dynamic settings. 

The Experience You Need to Have**:  

  • Seven years of administrative experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.  
  • Graduation with a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.  

Preferred Education, Certification, and Licenses: 

  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), or Advanced Microsoft Suite certifications. 
  • Notary Public.
