Job PurposeThe Marketing Specialist is a member of the Distribution Marketing team and is responsible for the development and execution of marketing and sales collateral. The Marketing Specialist drafts briefs and other marketing materials, manages marketing resources, and oversees communication with various distribution channels to ensure marketing campaigns and collateral meet firm goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develops effective marketing campaigns and chooses appropriate distribution channels and audiences aligned to sales goals and firm initiatives.
- Creates and distributes presentations, event collateral, and third-party marketing materials. Performs research, drafts creative briefs, and communicates vision and objectives to marketing partners.
- Tracks and evaluates key performance metrics associated with engagement, utilization, and impact of Jackson's marketing campaigns and identifies opportunities to improve the measurement and tracking of results in partnership with Distribution Intelligence.
- Analyzes data to support the development of marketing insights. Reports findings and results to leadership, providing recommendations to improve campaigns.
- Reviews and edits marketing materials during the routing process.
- Serves as a field resource for questions and feedback on product and marketing materials.
- Maintains team databases and identifies, assembles, and updates marketing information and materials.
- Works with internal marketing support teams, including creative services, digital marketing, compliance, and marketing operations, to advance projects and programs to completion. Oversees communication of project status and expectation management.
- Manages the pre-approval firm submission process and approvals of marketing materials, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of projects.
- Manages the compliance approval process for event marketing collateral as applicable, ensuring materials satisfy desired requirements.
- Attends team meetings, plug ins, sales desk trainings, and SPRINT meetings as needed.
- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and customers.
- Creative thinker with the ability to brainstorm and identify effective solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and process improvement skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work a demanding schedule with shifting priorities.
- Proactive self-starter a positive attitude.
- Exceptional knowledge of the Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate years of experience required.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) preferred.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 63 preferred.
