Project Manager, Employee Experience

Location: Alameda, CA (ONSITE ONLY)

Pay Rate: $50–$54/hour

Contract: 6+ months with potential to extend

Overview

We are seeking a strategic, user-focused, and detail-oriented Project Manager, Employee Experience to lead the development, optimization, and expansion of a global onboarding and employee engagement site. This role sits at the intersection of product ownership, internal communications, and technical project management, requiring close collaboration with HR, Legal, Public Affairs, R&D, and leadership teams.

You'll manage vendors, shape user experience, drive content and engagement strategies, and oversee analytics to measure success and guide continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Content Management System (CMS) Operations

  • Oversee content gathering, entry, and maintenance in partnership with internal teams and vendors.
  • Manage and update CMS content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Troubleshoot technical and content-related issues within the CMS.

Product Strategy & User Experience

  • Analyze user needs and feedback to inform site design, content, and feature improvements.
  • Define and execute product strategy, vision, and roadmap to enhance employee engagement.
  • Prioritize features and manage the product backlog to align with business goals.

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and implement communication strategies for onboarding and engagement initiatives.
  • Create campaigns to drive awareness, adoption, and participation across global teams.
  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all internal communication channels.

Analytics & KPI Management

  • Define, track, and report KPIs to assess platform engagement and campaign performance.
  • Build and maintain marketing and analytics dashboards to guide data-driven decisions.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Prepare compelling executive summaries and visual presentations for leadership updates.
  • Partner with external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align strategies, share best practices, and drive adoption.

Project & Risk Management

  • Track deliverables, timelines, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation plans.
  • Maintain detailed and organized project documentation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or content operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, MS Project).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Direct project management experience across multiple initiatives.
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting dashboards (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI).
  • Understanding of brand governance and content strategy best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exposure to technical documentation and software product lifecycle management.
