Overview
We are a growing Managed Services Provider seeking a System Administrator to support a wide range of small and mid-sized business clients throughout the North Atlanta area. This role blends day-to-day systems administration with escalated technical support, giving you the chance to sharpen your skills across servers, networks, and cloud platforms. You'll work in dynamic environments where no two days look the same, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and hands-on technical problem-solving.
Role Highlights
You'll be responsible for managing and maintaining client IT environments, from desktops and servers to firewalls and wireless networks. Acting as a trusted technical partner, you'll ensure stability, security, and performance across business-critical systems. This is an ideal role for someone with previous MSP experience who thrives on collaboration, continuous learning, and delivering great customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve Tier 2 service requests and escalations across desktops, servers, and networking
- Deploy and support Windows 10/11 endpoints, printers, and mobile devices
- Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 tenants, including Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online
- Administer Windows Server environments (2016–2022), including AD, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy
- Configure and support firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs (Cisco, SonicWall, etc.)
- Monitor and maintain data backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness solutions
- Document client environments, tickets, and recurring issues to ensure consistency and scalability
- Participate in proactive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience with strong troubleshooting across endpoints, servers, and networks
- At least 1 year working for a MSP
- Practical knowledge of Windows Server administration and Microsoft 365 services
- Proficiency in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, VPNs, DNS/DHCP)
- Experience with firewall and security appliance configuration
- Strong communication skills and client-facing presence, able to explain solutions clearly to non-technical users
- Process-oriented, documentation-focused, and eager to contribute to team knowledge
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000–$75,000
