Position Overview

The Marketing & Program Coordinator will provide marketing, communications, and administrative support for both Chamber membership initiatives and Foundation programming. This role combines event promotion, digital communications, and hands-on program coordination for the Chamber's signature initiatives, including the Youth Leadership Academy (YLA), Leadership Delaware County (LDC) and Career Awareness programming.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and highly organized, with the ability to balance administrative responsibilities and marketing tasks while engaging with members, students, and business leaders.

This position offers meaningful opportunities to network with business and community leaders throughout Delaware County while gaining hands-on experience in marketing, event management, and program coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Administrative Support

Youth Leadership Academy (YLA)

  • Coordinate student recruitment by working with schools, counselors, and business partners to identify and enroll participants.
  • Manage logistics for the three-day program, including venue setup, speaker coordination, and student communications.
  • Provide on-site support throughout the program to ensure smooth facilitation and participant engagement.

Career Awareness Programs

  • Serve as the primary coordinator for middle and high school career programming.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, teachers, and employers to deliver impactful career awareness experiences.
  • Oversee logistics for classroom presentations, site visits, job shadow days, and employer/student networking sessions.
  • Track student participation and outcomes, preparing reports that highlight impact and future improvements.

Leadership Delaware County (LDC)

  • Support recruitment and onboarding of participants for the nine-month leadership development program.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for monthly, full-day sessions, including scheduling venues, meals, speakers, and program materials.
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for participants, managing communications and program reminders.
  • Deliver day-of support to the facilitator and guest speakers to ensure seamless sessions.

General Program Support

  • Register and track participants for Chamber programs and events.
  • Conduct post-program surveys and compile outcomes for reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records for membership and Foundation program participation.

Marketing & Communications

  • Promote Chamber and Foundation events on social media platforms and Google Business.
  • Assist with the creation of flyers, graphics, and digital materials using tools such as Canva.
  • Support email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and program announcements.
  • Maintain content calendars to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
  • Update program and event information on the Chamber's website.

Event & Community Engagement

  • Provide staff support at Chamber and Foundation events (check-in, registration, materials, social media posts).
  • Assist in planning logistics for receptions, networking events, graduations, and community programming.
  • Gather and analyze event feedback and surveys to inform improvements.
  • Represent the Chamber and Foundation at community programs and events when needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred: Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, event coordination, or nonprofit program support.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X) and marketing tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.

Compensation

This is a full-time, salaried position with a pay range of $45,000–$50,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The Chamber offers health benefits, generous paid time off and holidays, a 401(k) plan with employer match after one year of employment, a flexible hybrid schedule, and ongoing professional development opportunities through its programs and events.

Salary is negotiable for candidates who opt out of benefits.

Working Conditions

  • This position requires participation in Chamber networking events, which may take place in the early morning or after standard work hours.
  • Local travel within Delaware County is required.
  • Hybrid schedule with office, event-based, and remote work flexibility.
