About the Program:
The Ignite Forge Fatherhood & VIBE programs support individuals and families by promoting relationship education, responsible parenting, and economic stability. Through workshops, supportive services, and community outreach, the program works to strengthen family structures, improve child outcomes, and foster resilience.
Job Summary:
The Program Manager oversees the overall operational integrity, performance, and strategic direction of a high-impact community program. This role includes direct program supervision, ensuring all activities are carried out accurately, and driving results to meet contractual and organizational goals, such as enrollment, retention, and successful outcomes. The Manager will work closely with the Program Director to manage daily operations and supervise the core program staff. The ideal candidate has experience in metric-driven program management and staff leadership within a human services environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Program Performance & Oversight:
- Coordinate and manage program performance against key metrics (e.g., enrollment targets, participant attendance/retention, milestone completion, and measured outcomes).
- Implement action plans as needed to ensure all contractual goals and organizational targets are met or exceeded.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Oversee the ongoing supervision of Advocates, the Workforce & Finance Lead, and Kids Club staff to ensure high-quality, mission-aligned service delivery.
- Manage staff scheduling and workload distribution to maximize program efficiency and fidelity.
- Conduct regular 1:1 supervision meetings and annual performance reviews.
Operational Execution & Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all HMRF program and Institutional Review Board (IRB) compliance standards, and agency-wide policies.
- Coordinate and manage logistics for the kids club, including securing venues, organizing materials, and preparing spaces for events and workshops.
Community Engagement & Growth:
- Dedicate at least 20% of work hours to strategic outreach and recruitment efforts, coordinate a referral pipeline, and monitor staff recruitment targets.
- Oversee inventory management for the on-site Food Pantry and prepare detailed monthly usage reports for the Program Director and Vice President.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services, behavioral health, education, or a related field from an accredited institution (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in program oversight, management, or coordination within a non-profit or human services setting.
- Demonstrated success in meeting and reporting on measurable program metrics and outcomes.
- Prior experience in staff supervision, coaching, and team development.
- Demonstrated experience with community outreach.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
- Advanced understanding of data-driven decision-making and CQI methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, staff supervision, and team-building skills, with an ability to motivate staff toward achieving collective goals.
- High-level organizational and project management abilities, with proven capacity to manage complex logistics and timelines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal reporting and presentation capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant data management and reporting platforms.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, strict adherence to client confidentiality, and client deidentification.
- Commitment to professional growth and continued clinical trial training.
- Ability to represent JFCS professionally and positively with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
Training Requirements:
- Completion of all required agency-wide and program-specific training courses.
- Completion of all required HMRF program and Institutional Review Board (IRB) trainings to ensure compliance with the HMRF Cooperative Agreement.
Physical Requirements:
- Desk work with computer usage for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally
- Occasional irregular hours and the capacity to work under pressure
