EIT, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, development, and delivery of Instructor-led Training (ILT) and Virtual Instructor-led Training (VILT) courses for the Aviation Safety program. The Project Manager will oversee all technical, instructional, and logistical aspects of course development, ensuring compliance with FAA standards, timelines, and quality expectations.

This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, experience withfederal training or curriculum development,and the ability to coordinate cross-functional technical, instructional design, and subject matter expert teams to deliver engaging course content for Web-based, Classroom and Virtual classroom training .

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle for the design, development, and delivery of training courses for FAA Aviation Safety group.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery of all training products.
  • Coordinate activities between instructional designers, SMEs, multimedia developers, IT specialists, and FAA training staff.
  • Ensure all training courses adhere to FAA's instructional design, accessibility, and quality standards.
  • Support the development of facilitator guides, participant materials, presentation media, and virtual training assets.
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and provide regular progress and financial status reports to FAA and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, manage stakeholder communications, and document key decisions, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and deliverable quality through structured project controls.
  • Support quality assurance reviews, instructor readiness evaluations, and pilot testing of online and classroom courses prior to full deployment.
  • Align training development efforts with FAA's Aviation Safety mission, ensuring content relevance and technical accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • PMP certification (Project Management Professional) or equivalent (e.g., PgMP, PfMP, PRINCE2).
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Education, English , Journalism, History, Political Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing complex projects with a focus on classroom and virtual training development and delivery, preferably for federal agencies.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate across technical and instructional design functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in compliance with FAA or other federal standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the FAA or other federal aviation or transportation programs.
  • Knowledge of FAA Training and Evaluation Systems (TES), Instructional Systems Design (ISD), and adult learning principles.
  • Familiarity with LMS integration, SCORM/xAPI compliance, and virtual training technologies (e.g., MS Teams, WebEx, or Adobe Connect).
  • Background in aviation safety, operations, or regulatory training.
