Position Summary

The Layout & Measure Team plays a key role in the success of each project by ensuring all field measurements and layouts are accurate, detailed, and aligned with design intent. This team works closely with Project Managers, Fabrication, and Installation teams to ensure that materials are fabricated correctly, and installations fit seamlessly on-site.

Responsibilities

· Perform on-site field measurements for custom glass, aluminum, and metal fabrication projects.

· Set up and verify layout points, elevations, and reference lines using laser levels and digital measuring equipment.

· Review and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to confirm site conditions match design intent.

· Prepare and submit detailed field sketches, notes, and digital documentation for fabrication.

· Communicate any discrepancies or site conflicts to the Project Manager for prompt resolution.

· Assist with pre-installation layout and alignment verification for railings, fencing, panels, and structural components.

· Maintain organized records of measurements, revisions, and approved field changes.

· Support final as-built verification and quality control before project closeout.

· Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations while on active job sites.

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of construction field measurement, layout, or survey experience.

· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings.

· Experience with laser measuring tools, digital layout systems, and standard hand tools.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to visualize spatial layouts accurately.

· Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to coordinate with multiple departments.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights as needed.

· Comfortable working outdoors and in various site conditions.

· Capable of extended standing, walking, or bending during fieldwork.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
