Electrician

An electrician performs all types of electrical jobs throughout assigned locations. The electrician works under the supervision of the electrical foreman and makes sure we provide a quality electrical installation. Seeking a motivated individual with a proficient knowledge. As an Electrician, you are the face of our team, and the customer experience depends on you. Your goal is to offer superior service and build strong relationships with our customers while completing repairs and installations.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work and repairs
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and coordinate electrical needs, repairs, and modifications
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
• Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, from distribution to rough in, trim and deck work.
• Run and bend conduit
• Run MC cable
• Install junction boxes, panels, switches, plugs and fixtures
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes
• Help the overall project by providing input and coordinating with others
• Adhere to all Keylite Power, OSHA, and regulations at all times
• Wear proper safety equipment while on site grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

· Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals

· Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools

· Must be able to handle physical workload

• Must have a reliable transportation
• Must have common sense
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Must have experience in the electrical installations, prefer if this experience covers, healthcare facilities, educational buildings, residential and commercial, single phase and three phase installations
• High school graduate
• Prefer journeyman license
• LED lighting installation
• Lighting control system installation
• Prefer equivalent in electrical maintenance experience
• Able to read, write, and speak English at least to a satisfactory degree
• Able to read and understand English sufficiently to be able to read technical information contained in manuals, reports, and related instructions
• Good mathematic/mechanical aptitude
• Bilingual a plus
• 2 years electrical maintenance experience
• Excellent communication skills and attention to details
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• At least basic NEC knowledge

Working Conditions

• Occasionally working outdoors
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location
• Electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with motor control circuits and relay logic
• Able to prioritize tasks and work as a team member, as well as individually
• Occasionally working indoors with no A/C

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree
• Occasionally working in no air-controlled areas
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/clients as well as function safely around heavy equipment
• Work on Ladders

Working hours are Monday – Friday from 7am – 3:30 pm with a 30 min break. Occasionally we need to adjust working hours to accommodate customer's needs. This doesn't happen all the time, but when it happens, employees need to be flexible to contribute to Harmison's efforts to complete a project at irregular hours.
