The Pardot & Data Cloud Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing our B2B marketing automation platform (Pardot/Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) and integrating it with Salesforce Data Cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the financial services sector, possessing a deep understanding of its unique marketing challenges and regulatory landscape. This role ensures that marketing campaigns are data-driven, highly personalized, and that data integrity is maintained across our Salesforce ecosystem, all while operating within strict industry compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) management

  • Serve as the in-house expert for the Pardot platform, overseeing all aspects of campaign design, execution, and analysis, specifically for financial products and services.
  • Develop and manage automated marketing campaigns, lead nurturing programs, scoring models, and segmentation strategies using Pardot's tools, such as Engagement Studio.
  • Build dynamic content, landing pages, and email templates, ensuring all materials adhere to stringent financial marketing compliance regulations such as FINRA and CFPB.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Pardot automation, integrations, and user experience.

Salesforce Data Cloud integration and strategy

  • Lead the integration and harmonization of financial data from various sources into Salesforce Data Cloud to create a unified customer profile.
  • Define advanced segmentation strategies within Data Cloud to enable precise audience targeting for financial marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Data Cloud ecosystem.
  • Work with IT and data teams to ensure seamless and efficient data flow between Data Cloud, Pardot, and Salesforce CRM.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and financial-specific rules for handling sensitive customer data.

Financial marketing compliance and risk management

  • Serve as the primary compliance point of contact for all marketing automation activities, ensuring campaigns meet regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Work with legal and compliance departments to pre-approve marketing materials and ensure required disclosures are properly included in campaigns.
  • Implement real-time compliance monitoring processes to detect and address potential violations quickly.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all marketing communications as required by regulatory bodies.

Reporting and analysis

  • Develop robust reports and dashboards to provide reliable, timely visibility into campaign performance and marketing ROI.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies while considering regulatory limitations.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts within the financial services context.

Collaboration and support

  • Provide training and support to sales and marketing users to drive platform adoption and best practices within the financial services framework.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with sales objectives and enterprise-wide goals.
  • Maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and system enhancements.

Required qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce and Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) administrator or consultant within the financial services sector.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and maintaining Salesforce Data Cloud for financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing processes, lead lifecycle management, and customer journey mapping, specifically within the highly regulated financial industry.
  • Proficiency in data management, segmentation techniques, and SQL for query automation.
  • Expert-level knowledge of financial marketing compliance, including FINRA and CFPB regulations.
  • Salesforce certifications, such as Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist, Data Cloud Consultant, or Administrator.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with other financial technology (FinTech) platforms.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like AMPscript or SSJS.
  • Experience in an agile/scrum environment.
