Summary

GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks an experienced Cloud Security Specialist III to provide advanced technical expertise in securing cloud-based systems and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks in remote environment. The candidate serves as a subject matter expert for cloud security architecture, risk assessment, and continuous monitoring in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role involves collaborating with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to design and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that protect federal mission systems and data.

  • Support the design, implementation, and management of cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud environments.
  • Develop, enforce, and monitor cloud security policies, procedures, and baselines aligned with federal standards (NIST 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP).
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security impact analyses for new or modified cloud systems.
  • Support continuous monitoring and incident response for cloud environments, ensuring timely remediation of identified risks or vulnerabilities.
  • Automate security controls and compliance checks using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or AWS Config.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, developers, and operations teams to integrate security into all stages of the system lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, control implementations, and compliance artifacts.

Information Security and Confidentiality Obligations

  • Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and procedures; actively participate in mandatory security awareness training; and manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company protocols and data protection standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4–8 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, cloud administration, or systems engineering roles with a focus on cloud security.
  • In-depth experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Proficieint with Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting security assessments, developing security documentation, and supporting authorization (A&A) activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Security Engineer Associate, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • Familiarity with SIEM and SOAR platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • This work is normally completed in a remote environment.

Physical demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.
