What You'll DoAs an Account Manager, you'll be the face of Tech Defenders for K–12 schools and partner organizations. You'll build relationships, uncover new opportunities, and help our partners get the most value from their tech recovery and procurement efforts.
You'll own a territory and be responsible for managing the full sales cycle — from prospecting to closing deals to maintaining long-term client success.
Your day-to-day might include:
- Developing and managing relationships with schools, OEMs, VARs, and reseller partners.
- Following up on leads, proposals, and open opportunities to close new business.
- Researching prospects and creating engagement strategies to win new accounts.
- Attending industry conferences to connect with clients and stay on top of trends.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and a great client experience.
- Monitoring post-sale processes to make sure every client feels supported.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts, and reporting.
- Meeting or exceeding annual and quarterly sales goals.
- Traveling within your territory (10–30%) for client meetings and events.
- Associate's degree in Business or equivalent experience (Bachelor's a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in B2B or K–12 sales, with 2+ years of CRM experience.
- Background working with K–12 schools or the education market preferred.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset — comfortable using data to spot trends and opportunities.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
