Job Description
We're looking for a BI Developer – Credit and Risk to elevate our analytical capabilities within the lending and risk domains. The ideal candidate is an experienced data professional with deep technical skills in SQL (Trino/Presto, PostgreSQL) and Python or R, have a passion for data visualization, strong expertise in Tableau (or comparable visualization tools), and a sharp understanding of credit or lending products. You'll combine analytical horsepower with business acumen, producing insights that drive smarter credit strategies, risk mitigation, and profitability.
How you'll make an impact:
- Partner with business leaders and data teams to define and deliver analytics supporting credit, collections, underwriting, and risk management.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries across Trino/Presto and PostgreSQL environments.
- Build, maintain, and enhance Tableau dashboards and BI assets that surface actionable insights to executives and stakeholders.
- Support business as a data visualization specialist
- Use Python or R to perform advanced analysis, statistical modeling, and data wrangling for deeper understanding of credit portfolio behavior.
- Conduct in-depth Excel-based data analysis for exploratory work, audit validation, and financial modeling.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical projects with measurable outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready work with minimal oversight while collaborating cross-functionally.
- Uphold best practices in data governance, performance optimization, and version control.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field - candidates with finance or accounting degrees are strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data science, ideally within lending, credit, or financial services.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in Trino/Presto and PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for analytical workflows and data manipulation.
- Advanced Excel user, capable of deep data analysis, scenario modeling, and reconciliation.
- Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
- Proven ability to dissect complex problems, develop hypotheses, and deliver actionable insights that influence decision-making.
