San Francisco, California, United States Hinge-Health Full time $146,400 - $219,600

About the Role

We're looking for a Quality Assurance Manager (QA) to lead our QA function within Growth Marketing Operations (GROMO) — a team dedicated to ensuring flawless execution across Hinge Health's marketing lifecycle. This leader will oversee a team of QA professionals responsible for validating complex, multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, direct mail, etc.) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency in every member communication.

This leader will set the strategic vision for quality across Growth Marketing Operations — evolving QA from a reactive function into a proactive, data-driven discipline that prevents errors at the source and continuously improves system reliability.

As the QA Manager, you'll establish scalable systems, automation frameworks, and reporting structures that elevate our quality standards and enable faster, error-free marketing. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly collaborative, cross functional environment. You'll partner internally across Growth and cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Client Success to build processes that drive operational excellence and member and client trust.

You will model Hinge Health's leadership principles — putting members first through precision in every communication, creating trust through transparency and consistency, and leading at all levels by embedding quality accountability across the organization.

You'll be joining a fast-moving, high-impact team focused on continuous improvement, data accuracy, and system reliability across the growth marketing ecosystem. We enjoy a continuous deployment DevOps culture, and take owner-operator pride in supporting our code in production. Our production systems rely on Iterable, Segment, DataBricks, Python. This role reports to the Director of Growth Marketing Operations and plays a critical part in ensuring that our member communications are precise, compliant, and impactful.

Our marketing operations systems rely on a modern, interconnected tech stack that supports large-scale, data-driven campaigns across multiple channels. We use platforms such as Iterable, Salesforce, Segment, Gainsight, and SG360 to power personalized communication at scale. Data integrity and automation are core to how we operate — leveraging Python-based validation scripts, Postman, Cypress, and Selenium frameworks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across every member touchpoint. We are becoming an AI-first organization and want leaders with that mentality.

Our workflow is built around continuous testing and rapid shipping, with Asana and Jira driving visibility, automation, and cross-functional coordination. The QA function operates within a privacy-first framework, maintaining the highest standards of HIPAA, SOC 2, and CCPA compliance while ensuring our campaigns reach members securely, accurately, and on time.

What You'll Accomplish

Lead a High-Performing QA Team: Manage and mentor a team of QA professionals, setting clear expectations, developing talent, and ensuring accountability and consistency across all QA activities.

Build a Strong Talent Pipeline: Coach QA professionals to operate with autonomy, technical depth, and cross-functional influence; ensure succession readiness and coverage across critical workflows.

Build and Maintain the QA Roadmap: Define priorities, milestones, and metrics for GROMO QA, including automation coverage, process improvements, and error rate reduction.

Implement QA Automation: Partner with Technical Operations to develop automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Postman), improving speed, accuracy, and scalability.

Drive Quality Standards: Establish standardized QA processes, documentation, and templates across all marketing workflows — ensuring consistent execution and predictable outcomes.

Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Project Management and Technical Operations to align QA testing with deployment schedules, ensuring early identification and resolution of defects.

Root Cause & Prevention: Lead structured root cause analyses following QA misses and embed corrective guardrails into systems to prevent recurrence.

Data Accuracy & Compliance: Oversee validation processes for data mapping, segmentation logic, and personalization variables, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and client requirements.

Measure & Report Impact: Develop dashboards and reports that track QA performance metrics (accuracy, issue volume, error trends) and communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership.

Connect Quality to Business Outcomes: Translate QA metrics into tangible business results – improving campaign accuracy, reducing remediation time, increasing stakeholder and client satisfaction, and generating measurable efficiency and cost savings across GROMO.

Design Closed-Loop Quality Systems: Create end-to-end feedback loops that surface recurring issues, automate error detection, and drive upstream process and data improvements – ensuring continuous reduction in defects and stronger cross-functional accountability.
