As a BioPharma Regional Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales performance and developing talent across your territory. Your days will be dynamic—traveling alongside regional sales representatives to provide hands-on coaching, leading strategic planning sessions, and ensuring that daily sales activities align with regional and corporate goals. You'll monitor pipeline and forecasting data to guide your team toward achieving ambitious targets, while also managing key customer relationships and supporting representatives in closing complex deals. This is a highly visible leadership position where your ability to hire, train, and develop top-performing sales professionals will directly shape the success of the BioPharma business.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Hire, train, and retain sales employees. Provide developmental guidance to direct reports to ensure the region is staffed with the appropriate number of well-trained sales personnel.
  • Accurately forecast sales revenue on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Monitor SFDC funnels to ensure opportunities are migrating to successful close.
  • Establishes sales representatives quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Manage regional expense budget.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales professionals and implement individual development plans.
  • In conjunction with regional sales professionals, participate in call planning activities, monitor sales activity progress and monitor account plan progress.
  • Routinely accompanies representatives on sales calls to key accounts, managing relationships with key clients while assisting representatives in closing sales.
  • Routinely analyzes sales statistics, using them to direct sales representatives to the highest priority activities.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a life or physical science discipline.
  • Work Experience: 8+ years sales experience, preferably selling research products in the medical technology industries, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior capital instrument sales management experience.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with sales automation systems.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. medical instrument market, key customers, and vendors.
  • Selling, leadership, analytical, communication (written and verbal), organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Reporting skills, including dashboarding and presentations to management.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office programs.

Compensation:
The estimated base salary range for this position is $153,100 to $210,600 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
