The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Region Sales Director to lead a high-performing team across the Seattle, WA territory. This individual will be responsible for managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio and driving strategic growth across key market segments including Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of sales leadership, market segmentation, and customer engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and execute territory plans, coach and inspire a team, and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders to expand Avantor's presence and impact in the region.

What we're looking for:  

  • Education: College degree or equivalent/applicable experience, required

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience establishing high level customer relationships and account development and implementation

  • This position requires a valid driver's license to perform essential functions of the role

  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office, with preference for experience in C4C or QlikView

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Several years of successful outside sales experience, demonstrating strong industry knowledge and negotiation skills.

  • Distribution experience and a scientific background and/or have worked in a laboratory or research environment

  • Excellent presentation and coaching skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems efficiently.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Hire, train, and set expectations with all sales associates in the region.

  • Continually evaluate associate progress and performance.

  • Provide formal and informal sales training to all sales associates in the assigned area.

  • Develop programs and selling strategies to motivate the sales force and stimulate sales.

  • Develop and maintain sound customer and supplier relations.

  • Directly handle contract negotiations for key accounts.

  • Prepare sales and gross margin forecasts for region territories and analyze and monitor sales data for the region.

  • Monitor and manage key product sales.

  • Successfully interface with internal customers and service providers such as NCO, Furniture division, Avantor Specialists, and Business Process Consultants.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$121, $202,800.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
